Key Details: Maximo started his career in the facade industry right after finishing his higher education. It started on May, 1995, he worked as Junior Engineer in Arlo Aluminum Company in Pasig City, Philippines. The job covered from estimating and material take-off, glass/aluminium/steel materials sizing for tendering, preparing structural calculation and drafting of windows, shopfront, glass wal unitized system of the assigned projects.

On 1997 after 2 years of working in the Philippines, he moved to Hong Kong on invitation by international facade contractor, Far East Alumium Works Company, Ltd – Hong Kong (now as Far East Global, Ltd) (or FEA) to work as Facade Engineer was accepted. His role focused on structural engineering of the world wide projects, from materials sizing and value engineering of the facade system. He was on the capacity of Assistant Engineering Manager when left FEA after 5 years of stay.

Next he moved to another key player facade contractor in Hong Kong, Chevalier (Aluminium Engineering), Limited as a Senior Facade Engineer – Team Leader and worked for another 5 years on such capacity.

From a span of 10 years, while working on facade contractors in Hong Kong, Maximo developed in-depth skills on engineering design and structural calculation preparation of facade systems, like curtain wall, glass wall, metal cladding, stone cladding, windows, doors, storefronts, louver, skylight, canopy, balustrade, temporary gondola/monorail system and other façade structural components for submission to clients, project main contractor, project consultants and Hong Kong Building Department. He is familiar with most international codes pertaining to engineering and system design of the facade. He is proficient in a variety of recognized engineering analysis softwares including STAAD Pro, SAP2000, SPACE GASS and STRAND7 for Finite Element Analysis of the engineering structure.

Maximo started working on facade consultancy from April, 2007 when he joined Meinhardt Facade Technology (HK), Ltd as Senior Facade Engineer. His duties were: façade concept design and value engineering, verification works of engineering design of façade system, façade contractor's shop drawings and engineering calculation review, witness facade performance testing, do factory and site QA/QC audit, site inspection, engineering and review of Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) system, and provide remedial advises.

Joining another facade consultancy: Aurecon (HK), Limited on November, 2009, Maximo extended his expertise to more mechanical engineering aspects when he worked on the structural design of passenger's train automatic door platform. He applied his engineering skills on structural analysis and design of train and subway stations Platform Screen Doors (PSD) and Automatic Platform Gates (APG) in Hong Kong, China and Singapore projects.

Maximo joined HS&A on 2013.
